Ode to September

I love September. Here are the reasons why:

1. The weather starts to cool down.
2. The sun isn't blazing through my window before I am ready to wake up.
3. I don't die of heat stoke before I even get to work from walking to the metro. (emphasizing #'s 1 & 2)
4. I get to change my wardrobe and feel like I am wearing something "new" for a few weeks.
5. The trees become the most beautiful shades of gold and auburn
6. School starts (though I don't have children of my own....I do teach primary, and school starting means calmer Sundays)
7. Everything is now available in pumpkin! I love pumpkin anything and now you can start finding it on every menu.
8. Holidays are just around the corner, starting with the best........Halloween!
9. Soon Robin will be burning a fire in the wood stove to keep us cozy and warm for the holiday visits. There are few things better than cuddling up next to the fire.
10. Celebrations all month long: Our anniversary on the 2nd (3 years) as well as grandma P's birthday. Brian G's birthday on the 3rd. Shannon's baby is due any day now. Ross' and Stacy's birthday on the 18th. My birthday on the 22nd. Bryce's birthday on the 30th.

September is the best!
